The Project
AI image-generation tools are opening up new opportunities for businesses to explore creative ideas and develop their own identity.
KLEMtech Motorsport had created a logo using AI and was happy with the overall design. Rather than redesigning the logo, the brief was to faithfully reproduce the supplied artwork as a scalable vector graphics and prepare a complete set of files suitable for professional use.
The objective was simple: preserve the look and character of the original design while making it functional across different applications.
The Challenge
At first glance, the supplied logo appeared relatively clean and straightforward to reproduce.
However, closer inspection revealed the limitations of working from AI-generated raster artwork. Subtle variations in lettering outlines and alignment, together with pixelated edges and intricate brushstroke details, made accurate vector conversion more complex than anticipated.
Although Adobe Illustrator's Image Trace provided a useful starting point, it couldn't reproduce many of the finer details with sufficient accuracy.
The challenge was to balance technical refinement with respect for the original artwork, ensuring the finished logo remained faithful to the client's chosen design.
The Solution
The Original artwork was carefully reconstructed and refined.
Automated tracing was tested initially, but much of the logo required manual vector work to achieve a clean and reliable result.
This included:

Reconstructing and refining letterforms and outlines.

Adjusting inconsistent outline thicknesses

Manually recreating the distinctive brushstroke and tapered ends of the lettering.

Cleaning up the irregular paths and pixelated edges.

Preserving the original proportions, styling and overall visual appearance as requested.
Rather than unnecessarily redesigning the logo, adjustments were made where required to improve the technical quality of the artwork.
The original AI-generated logo provided the visual direction, but required further preparation for professional reproduction.
The Outcome
The result was a scalable vector version of the logo, retaining the bold styling and character of the original AI-generated concept.
A comprehensive logo package was supplied in AI, EPS, SVG, PNG and JPG formats, including black background and transparent background versions where appropriate.
These files give KLEMtech Motorsport greater flexibility when supplying artwork for signage, merchandise, promotional materials, digital media and other applications.
The business now has a consistent set of logo assets for a much wider range of production requirements.
