The project involved the comprehensive production and preparation of two historical manuscripts: Doonside: A Little History of Nearly Everything and A Little History of Kings Langley 2147. The primary challenge lay in transforming the Word manuscript into print-ready publications with key technical tasks that included the implementation of complex pagination, the address of formatting hurdles such as correcting page margins to prevent text overlap, and stabilising a problematic table of contents.
Beyond the layout, the role required a blend of technical restoration and collaborative design. To ensure print-ready results, low-resolution historical images were professionally upscaled and adjusted for brightness. The cover designs were then developed by translating the client's specific vision into a structured, cohesive layout that incorporated regional maps and traditional colour palettes.
